At the time of its founding in 1890, the Troy German Hall Association was comprised of 17 German cultural societies, featuring Men's and Ladies' singing societies, gymnast groups, folk dance groups, sick benefit funds, German language groups, and social groups.
Today, while still embracing its cultural heritage, membership has dwindled to seven societies, while strong ethnic roots are featured.
